Making Your Own Layout

Create the following $HOME/.lyx/layouts/hello.layout file:

# \DeclareLaTeXClass[book]{hellobook}
Input stdclass.inc

Edit->Reconfigure;File->Exit; restart LyX

Layout->Document->Document_tab->Document_class: "hellobook"

File->Save; View->Postscript

Notice it's the same as the Book class
